Rieger Mail

Email infrastructure for transactional system messages

Rieger Mail is the central email service of Rieger Systems GmbH. We provide this infrastructure to ourselves and our customers to reliably send automated system messages – such as invoices, reminders, or security notifications.

Only transactional emails (invoices, reminders, notifications)

No newsletter, no marketing, no advertising

Only in the context of an existing process or contract

Each sender uses their own subdomain (e.g. customer.rieger-mail.eu)

Which domains are legitimate?

These domains may appear in the context of transactional communication

rieger-systems.eu

Direct sending domain for emails from Rieger Systems.

rieger-systems.rieger-mail.eu

Subdomain for emails from Rieger Systems via the rieger-mail.eu infrastructure.

customerxyz.rieger-mail.eu

Customers always use their own subdomains in the format customerxyz.rieger-mail.eu.

How to verify authenticity

3 steps to verification

1

Check full sender address

Check the full email address (not just the display name). Legitimate emails come from rieger-systems.eu, rieger-systems.rieger-mail.eu or customerxyz.rieger-mail.eu (customer-specific subdomains).

2

Check headers: DKIM/DMARC = pass

Copy the full headers and check: DKIM=pass? DMARC=pass? (if possible).

3

If uncertain: don't click, report

If you are unsure: don't click. Forward the email to abuse@rieger-systems.eu (ideally with full headers/EML).
